![]() Under the 'Driver' heading, you should see 'CUPS', not Gutenprint (or something like that). That said, if you open up System Prefs -> Printer Prefs -> select printer -> Open Print Queue -> Printer Setup -> General you should see the driver version. The Apple software update sent me to Epson, and that's where I locaed the latest v. The reason is that the usual Apple printer driver is the 'Gutenprint' driver and it's very basic and not appropriate for quality work that we do. Do not use Apple software update for printer driver updates unless, when you go to and look for the driver, they explicitly say to do so.
